Dorgard ORIGINAL Fire Door Retainer

Dorgard is a wireless device designed to legally hold open fire doors, releasing them automatically when a fire alarm sounds. Installed quickly and easily at the base of the fire door, Dorgard continuously listens for a fire alarm signal of 65dB for 14 seconds or more before activating.

Unlike traditional magnetic door retainers, Dorgard allows the door to be held open at any angle. The rubber plunger is in contact with the floor holding the door in position, and lifts automatically when the alarm is detected, enabling the door to close.

Before installing Dorgard, ensure that the fire door is fitted with a fully functional self-closing mechanism.
